THE BUSINESS/PERSONAL


How many years have you been breeding Discus professionally, and how many years as a hobbyist?
I have breeding normal strain like Brilliant,Cobalt professionally since 1985.

How long have you been in business?
More than 8 years.

Do you specialize in any particular strains?
Yes,i'm specialize on Snake skin,Blue diamond,Red pearl,Pigeon and Red ruby.

What strains are currently available? Available in the upcoming months?
Snake skin,Blue diamond,Red ruby,Ghost,Tomato red,Blue diamond second grade, Golden and some normal strain like Brilliant,cobalt,alencer red,Pigeon blood in Big Quantity.I also can supply small quantity with Albino in small quantity.

Do you have any sales on particular strains of discus?
I sold all of my fish except the specail breeding pair. Do you sell fish other than discus? What?
I do export a lot of bloody parrot,Koi,Goldfish and many tropical fish .

Are color photographs available either on the Net, snail mail, catalog?
Photo were be send though the e-mail which is required.

Are the photographs, etc, free? If not, how much do they cost?
Free

How many discus do you produce per year?
Together with 30 sincere success Penang success discus breeder,we can easily produce more than 50000 pcs a years.

Do you make any effort to learn how your fish do in their new homes?

Do you sell to hobbyists, or do you strictly sell to Dealers only?
Curretly,i'm not intend to sell directly to the hobbyists.

Is there a minimum order in # of fish or total amount? What are they?
Best minumum amount of fish is $US 500.

Do you have a guarantee? If so, what is the exact guarantee.
I can guarantee the good ,healthy,live with most of the major airport in US. But not in a area that the Federal Express could not cover.

What is your return policy? Do you have one?
I can replace the 50% of the dead mortality which is usually not more than 10 % of the shipment.

Do you add extra fish to orders in case of a fatality?
Yes.

What sizes do you sell? Fry? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 inch? Costs of each?
I don't recommend the small fry because of the long distance travel. But do sell all of the size bigger than 3cm.

What is the minimum age of Discus fry you would consider selling?
3 cm and above.

Do you sell "guaranteed pairs?"
Yes.

Can buyers come to the hatchery and pick out fish? Appointment? Times?
No probelm,they can make a appointment.

Do you do business with and ship to international customers?
Yes,Japan,Sweden etc.

Do you offer wholesale prices? If so, what quantities have to be ordered to get the wholesale price?
Yes,and i wish that it would be more than 1000 US dollars per shipment.

Do you sell any discus related products (medication, RO systems, etc)?
Discus food,beefheart.




SHIPPING


How long have you been shipping Discus to non-local areas?
Since 1989.

Do you ship internationally? If you do not currently ship internationally, would you be willing to try on a case-by-case basis?
Yes.

What are the shipping rates? Winter? v. Summer? International?
depend the destination .

What is the shipping procedure? Does it vary depending on the season?
Given detail once ordered.

What are your packaging techniques? (Bagging, oxygen, heat, reinforcement, prophylactic medications, etc.)
Bagging,oxygen with some medication.

If you medicate the fish for travel, what will be the impact of this medication on the fish when they arrive (or at any time later)? Should I add the travel water to the destination tank, and if so, will it have any affect on existing residents?
Just some small dosage of anti-biotic.But i do suggest without adding the water on the beg cause it may some plague by having a long distance journey.

Do I have to go to an airport to get the fish?
Yes.

If you ship directly to my house are the fish guaranteed to arrive alive?

If I do have to go to an airport, are they guaranteed to arrive alive?
I can guarantee if that was no any delay of the freight.

For both of the above, what do I have to do if they do not arrive alive? (I would assume send them back somehow, but how?)
Please inform ASAP.

What are your handling instructions from box to tank for the new fish?
The best way to handle the new coming fish is tread them with small dosage Formalin with Bath.




ENVIRONMENT

7.0 for the fry.

I don't care.

Yes,my discus hatcheries is out of contact with other ornamental fish.

Do you use some type of dechlorinator (chemical or carbon) when making water changes?
No.




FEEDING


What and how often do you feed your adult discus?
Twice a day.

What and how often do you feed your breeding pairs?
Twice a day.

What and how often do you feed your fry/young?
three time a day.

Do you add any hormones or artificial color enhancers to the food?
None.

If you prepare your own food, would you be willing to share your formula? (if so, please give the formula here)
Beefheart,shrimp,Vitamin complex,B12.

If you feed commercially prepared food, is it available for purchase? If not, would you be willing to include a small amount with a fish purchase for purposes of weaning them to a different food?

What are the origins of your breeding stock?
Red turquoise and blue diamond.

How many generations can your stock be traced back?
Three .

What method do you use to maintain your strains (ie do you breed parents to children, siblings to siblings, cross related lines, etc.)?
Every thing.

How many generations of inbreeding do you permit before "new blood" is crossed in?
Two.

Do you have any particular strains that you would consider hardier than most?
Snake skin.

Do you have any particular strains that you would consider difficult to maintain and or breed? If so, what do you do different for these fish?

BREEDING


What is your method for inducing spawning?
Changing water frequently .

What spawning surface do you use?
Plain surface glass.

Do you raise the fry artificially, or are they parent raised?
Parent raised.

If your fry are parent raised, at what age do you separate the fry?
7 days-----10 days.

Do you use some sort of night-light to prevent fry loss?
Yes.

Do you keep records of any diseases or medications that particular batches of fish have been exposed to? If so, would you provide this information about any particular order that has been purchased (assuming you were asked for it)?
